About Splitpond

Splitpond exists because splitting expenses with friends shouldn't require an account, an app install, ads, or a subscription. A group is a link. Everyone with the link is in.

The promise: unlimited free expenses, forever

Some expense apps cap how many expenses you can add per day on the free plan. We think that's the one thing an expense splitter must never do, so we're putting it in writing:

Adding expenses, seeing balances, settling up, and exporting your data will always be free and unlimited on Splitpond. No daily caps. No ads. If that ever changes, this page is the receipt.

How the lights stay on

Splitpond is an independent, bootstrapped product. New paid plans are not currently available. We are not accepting purchases or selling promises of future features.

Manual expenses, balances, settling up, sharing, PIN protection and complete JSON export stay free. The current free scan allowance is five attempts per group per calendar month; attempts that reach the scanning service count even if extraction fails. Daily safety limits also apply. No purchase is needed to keep adding expenses manually.

No lock-in

Your group's full history exports as JSON with one click, free, no account. Existing Pro keys retain their CSV export access; no new keys are being sold. You do not need a key to download your complete JSON record. A delete button removes a group and everything in it, permanently, no support ticket required.

Splitpond is an independent, bootstrapped product — the same tiny team behind other calm, pay-once tools. A working purchase-support contact will be available before we accept payments.
